As many of our family and friends know, we recently decided to challenge our skills [and our marriage?] by putting in a new Bamboo floor in our Kitchen and Dining Room.  Unfortunately, we did not remember to take pictures during the various stages of the process (I think we were too busy trying not to argue about certain aspects of the project).  But, I did take a couple pictures near the end of the project:

The bad news is, we still are not really finished.  We still have trim to pick out & install, the transition piece between the wood and carpet to find & install, the splash boards to cut/seal & install, and re-texturing & re-painting of portions of the walls.  The good news is: my living room is no longer serving as the dining room & I don't have to wash dishes in the bathroom sink! :-) 

And I figure, since it took us 7 years of discussions to actually replace our kitchen floor.... our next major home improvement project won't be until Dylan is old enough to wield a hammer & electric drill.  That way, Jason can argue with him and I'll play peacekeeper. :-)  Of course, we haven't yet started discussion what that next project might be........
